Artist Statement

I see art as a continuous search—for alternative images, new forms of expression, and deeper emotional resonance. My work began in painting but moved toward conceptual and experimental art as I questioned the conventional roles of devices and materials in image-making. Why should a printer only print? Why must a mobile phone only take photos? I began to use these everyday tools in unconventional ways, breaking, modifying, and reinterpreting digital codes to explore new creative possibilities.

My practice centers on the reconstruction and deconstruction of visual images—both emotionally and materially. I work across photography, video, sound, video collage, and installation, drawing on techniques like glitch, data moshing, pixel sorting, and noise manipulation to evoke unfamiliar emotional landscapes. I consider error and noise as vital parts of the creative process, capable of revealing hidden layers in perception.

Ultimately, I aim to redefine what art can be—both in method and meaning—by experimenting with scale, structure, perspective, and digital interference. Every visual image I create is an invitation for the viewer to feel, question, and imagine beyond the surface.

Motion, Time, and Space

When Motion, Time, and Space meet, they form another dimension of reality. In my video works, I represent this altered reality through techniques such as slow motion, fast forward, backward-forward looping, and repetition. These manipulations challenge linear perception and evoke emotional dissonance and rhythm in visual storytelling.

Light and Sound

Transforming, expanding, or intercepting light and sound in physical spaces can generate entirely new emotional atmospheres. I use projection, sound, and installation objects to create immersive environments where light and sound interact dynamically, forming a fluid, living image-space.

Redefining Art

To redefine art is to propose alternative explanations and expressions of form. In this context, I explore video works and video collages that disrupt traditional image structures—through errors, noise, and manipulation—to present a different emotional and intellectual experience.

Image Manipulation & Emotional Response

Altering the scale, perspective, or layering of an image—such as through mirror reflection, vortographs, inverts, or collage—can evoke entirely different emotional responses. I explore the potential of visual error through glitch, pixel sort, data mosh, chromatic aberration, xerox distortion, and pixelation to exaggerate or manipulate the image’s emotional essence.

The Role of Noise

Noise itself can become a visual and emotional element. I experiment with recorded mixed noises, reverse conversations, and audio distortions to construct visual images that carry emotional weight and provoke sensory reinterpretation. These sonic experiments serve as both medium and message.
